I made a pair of the grabloops pictured here to replace my not-so-ergonomic toggles.

They are pretty wide, which is nice for someone with very large hands, but I think that smaller people should make these in smaller stuff if they like them.

It's basically just bugle cord with the loose ends tied in a simple simon over (one of Asher's knots). They hold shape well when carrying the boat, and feel good in the hand (the shape of the chain makes it easy to hold). I used them to drag the boat over some mud yesterday, and liked them.

I repeat the warning I've read here that toggles are safer in rougher water.
