Ripping the stuff was no big deal ... my 1.5 HP belt drive contractors saw ... which is over 30 years old ... handled it just fine.

The actual size of the lumber was 1.75" thick X 6.125" wide X 8 feet long ... KD white oak.

I used a thin kerf 10" X 24T Freud industrial series blade, yellow Board Buddies and infeed and outfeed support. My setup doesn't have a kerf splitter so I just used wedges.

The feed rate was comfortable and the cuts were dead nuts accurate.

Thanks for the input guys!
