The stability is just as I had planned. I had paddled a TK1 Sabre a few years ago and I wanted this one to be just a little more relaxed to paddle and it seems to have worked out that way.

If my measurements taken from the Sabre to give me something to compare it with are accurate, the Sabre's Stability Factor is 65 with a maximum righting moment with a 150 lb paddler of 4.3 at 20 degrees.
This TK1 is 73 and 5.5 between 20 and 25.
My wife's sea kayak is 83 and 12.95 at 20 degrees. It is the same length and the same waterline beam, but has a much fuller bow and stern.
My 5 metre sea kayak is the same as my wife's, but stretched to 5 metres. It is 92 with maximum righting moment of 15 at 20 degrees.

I just checked Ross's Whiptail. It also has a Stability Factor of 73, but the graph is quite a different shape and the maximum righting moment at 20 degrees is about 8.

That should give some idea of the stability.

I am still working on getting some meaningful figures for the speed. As some of my serious timed paddles are on a tidal river, I need a few repetitions or a chance to time some paddles on other water to be sure.

At the moment, as you would expect, it appears to be just a bit faster than my 5 metre sea kayak, but not as fast as my 5.5 metre SOF.

I think it is close to the same speed as the Sabre. I will have a chance to compare it at some stage.
