"Down your way" is where, roughly ? Actually, any wooden boat
(or SOF etc.) gathering anywhere in Europe would be an attractive
start.... I keep meaning to build a Yost folder just so I would
have an excuse (and a boat to take) to one of these events in
the USA :-)

I had never seen a wooden kayak before I built mine, and I've
still only seen three others, I think, two when we paddled back
to Appin from Lismore, and one in Portnaluchaig in Arisaig Bay.
I may have seen a few others on the roofs of cars driving the other
way at a closing speed of 140 mph, but you don't get much of a
look at those :-)
