I know that, just making a point. Apparently fine ends have less resistance. They also can go through waves instead of being lifted over them.

Curlew is rather fine ended. The worst I would be out in here is probably 3' chop and only if caught in a storm. Rarely we get bigger waves but it takes STRONG winds. I was concerned it would try to go through instead of over but I was very pleased with the way it performed in a storm waves. There was just enough flare at the deck to lift it over nearly ever wave. Very little water over the deck to my surprise.
