Why? Really, really nice band saw? :-)

I wouldn't expect a lot of torque where there's not a significant 'bend' to the design - but don't understand why you don't just drill the corners, use a jig saw to cut the centers out, and mount them on the internal strongback? Or.... mount them to an external strongback, and skip this issue...
just a thought...
