Skin-on-Frame: Fitting at South Greenland kayak? Pleese help *PIC*

After looking at so many examples, I decided to build one of my most favourite kayaks – example taken from Harvey Golden’s collection - http://www.traditionalkayaks.com/Kayakreplicas/9726.html
After getting the lines at my computer, I noticed the section where my legs are is about 8 " high, while my leg is 10 "... What do you think? When I try to stretch the lines even with 2 ", the beauty of it’s silhouette is decreasing…
how do u resolve this problem?
