Well sir, I agree, HK would be cool, but quite polluted, and I just can't give up my island life and all the beautiful folks in Latin America and the Caribbean. I took a journey to Peru for a few weeks, hiked Machu Piccu, Paraglided over Lima, and stayed in a mud hut for a while. Brought back fond memories and a nice case of Hepatitis A! (It's foodborne folks, not the one you get from hookers and intravenus drugs, that's B and C. A is like a really bad food poisoning that lasts 6 weeks and almost kills you.)

Actually I think I got the Hep A in St. Kitts, but who is to say. I was in numerous countries during the gestation period. I think it was either staying in a mud hut with the Quechuan Indains in Peru (where they had a toilet but it didn't really work and there was no TP, and they had cuy, aka guinea pigs running around the kitchen). By the way, don't knock cuy, it's really good if you can get over eating a rat.

Anyway I decided that when the time comes I'm heading south where money goes a long way. That would be well in the future when I retire. I figure retire and then go where it lasts twice as long. Next up in May I'm hiking the Camino de Santiago. I figure if I built a board to commemorate it I need to go see it.

Check out my website www.malcolmschweizer.shutterfly.com It has pics of some of the journeys. Haven't updated it in a while. I just had a hard drive crash and it may have eaten all my good pics, but I am hoping it's salvageable. The backup drive when I tried to retrieve them also crashed. I blame WAPA- the Water And Power Authority, because the power here goes up and down and it really screws up electronics. Just lost my Sony AV system to it.

Sorry about the job. You might look at it as an opportunity to go on an adventure. I know that's easier said than done, but maybe check out some travel companies and hire on as a guide? Will keep you in my prayers.

All the best,

Malcolm
