: I currently have a sedan with no roof rack, and since my next
: vehicle will likely have one I'm trying to see if I can get by
: with used gear until then.

: Right now I am able to get Yakima clamps and rack at a good price,
: and a Hull A Port (not pro) from Thule. I'm wondering how easy
: it is to make one brand fit with another. Can anybody help?

I've had Yak racks forever. They work fine. I'd switch in a second if someone wanted to swap me with Thule.

A paddling buddy and I were "helping" a woman friend set-up her Thule racks and we were
shocked at how much easier they were to set-up compared to Yakimas.

Plus with a square bar there's no rolling over of kayak saddles.

Any Thule owners have any gripes?

Anyway, most add ons are set up for both style bars.

All the best,
Rob
