My first time in a kayak was July 2009. I'm not sure how it happened but, by November 09 I had built myself a Sea Rider, a Greenland paddle, storm paddle (laminated), rolling stick and carved bone toggles. This took about three months as I had no experience with tools other than a phillips screwdriver. About a month later I started on the Roldarka and lashed it rather than using glue. Two weeks ago I completed the West Greenland kayak from Instructables (with a few modifications) and am currently skinning my forth which I just sort of created with inspiration from hundreds of photos. Next week I will attempt a tandem.
Yes I've definately gotten hooked :)
