I live in south east Michigan on lake Erie. I stumbled across some pictures online about wood Kayaks. I had no idea these beautiful boats existed. I knew I had to build one. I found the Micro Bootlegger form Nick and I fell in love with the boat. Two years later I built two Micro Bootleggers for my family.

Update 7/31/16: It's time to start playing on the big waves. I have just started to build the Petrel. This will be a great winter project.
