Looking at those pictures made me remember one other small tip... When using straps, if they have an open span, put a single twist in it. The twist will prevent flutter. Without the twist, the strap will flutter and if it's close enough to a surface, will slap/buzz against that surface. (Check out the tractor/trailor rigs on the roads, see if you ever see one without a twist in the tie down straps they use...)
