: I finished 1 canoe and 2 kayaks and am starting my 3rd kayak. I
: like the bead and cove, so don't try talking me out of that. I
: also just bought a surface planer. My question is, after cutting
: the strips, should I cut the bead and cove, then plane to proper
: thickness, or should I plane first, then add the bead and cove.

: Thanks, Dan

You should not have to plane the strips to thickness. Surface plane the boards then rip strips. If you really want to plane the strips do this before cove and bead, otherwise you will mess up the match.
