Hi Et.

My first thought was. Just because it's there you don't have to use it,
the strips would run around it anyway.

Second thought was. If you are'nt going to use it why put it there in the first place.
Hey Presto. I agree with Et!!!

It does require a good eye though. Especialy if using 3/16" strips on tight curves.
It would be very easy to pull one too tight and lose the fair line.
