Hi Kirk

Sounds like we are both hooked by boat building. I just posted some pics of my kayak in this thread if you are interested. I am still working on perfecting my stripping technique and Im thinking I need to get away from the bead and cove. Also I think I need to air dry my fresh milled strips for a few days in the house. I sure think I do a better job of fitting them but then get gaps. I am pretty comfortable with a good wet out and filler coats of epoxy so I am going to spend additional time getting the strips right the first time. I keep wanting to build a flawless boat.

I have a question for the guys, After I wet the bare wood with water to clean and get ready for glassing, How long do I wait to glass. I know to keep the glass dry but do I need to keep the wood from drying internally and shrinking or do I need it bone dry to absorb epoxy?
