I'll add my vote also for the Sea Tour 15 EXP. This was my first build and I am very happy with it. Less work to paddle than a longer boat. I also used the skinboats.org method of skinning with nylon and can recommend this. They also sold me a foam seat that fits in quite nicely.

My only slight reservation is that at 224 pounds, plus weight of the boat (say 30 pounds) and other gear Scott could get close to the 300 pounds displacement. I guess it depends on how much "other gear" is going to be carried.

Tom's designs can all be adjusted to fit. I built mine to a length of 15.5 feet. The height could instead be adjusted up a little if necessary.
