I think John has stated the key factors here. If the glass is showing as white and you cannot see the wood through the fibers, you may have had an incomplete wet out of the cloth. However if the wood is visible but you are seeing a textured and kinda dull surface that is just the cloth weave. Additional fill coats will fill in the weave and your class will begin to get clearer as the surface becomes smoother. Post a picture if you are still unsure and more accurate advise will be on the way.
