: The neat thing about building a wood boat is that you learn how to
: repair it at the same time.

The only thing holding the hull together was the inner stems. It was split between the two keels strip almost from both inner stems plus numerous splits along the sides. I felt so bad that I didn't take any pictures. I almost started over but decided to see if I could glue back together. I had two holes in the bow on each side. One piece put back in place and glue it. You cannot tell it was repaired. The other piece I made a diagonal patch. This patch is the only evidence the average person can see that the hull was damaged, and you have to really inspect the hull to see it.. The only information I had about repairing was Nick's Youtube video on repairing a crack strips. Since I went stapless construction, I clamped the hull on the sheer lines and started with the gluing and taping the sides and then I worked towards the keel, where I used strapping tape to repair the keel strips. I worked to make the deck as flawless as possible, which worked out great. I have about 100 miles of paddling this winter, and several big scratches on the hull from oyster bars. I just started my second build and will repair the garage door opener... Thanks for the advice and feedback.
