This option is bought not made, raises me about 1/2 inch higher than i'd like, and adds 3+ lbs so make of it what you will... But I just installed a sitbacker canoe seat to my great awk and am now enjoying great comfort. I mounted it with sealect foot brace stud mounts and 5/8" rubber "C" hose clamps so it is removable and the homemade seat can be reinstalled as desired. I have been taking some longer flatwater weekend trips and was looking for a bit more back support. Under $50 and very comfortable, but not right for every application; depends on your kayaking plans.
