Hi Chris, I made a seat from some foam that I bought locally and was disappointed with the results so I bit the bullet and bought a Red Fish seat expensive but worth it if you have no grinder experience, if you can use a disc grinder then Red Fish also sell 2" thick foam to make a seat from.Good luck Nick R.
