I have followed the discussion on ruddercables and tubings with interest. Since 1991 I have been rigging and selling fiberglass and polyethylene sea-kayaks. I have allways used soft plastic tube for tubing. It`s a kind of tube used in dishwashers (large kind used in hotels, eg.) The tube takes a wide range of temperatures and offers low friction. The tube are also low cost. As ruddercable I use 1,7mm kevlar line. It`s static, cheap and strong. Regards, Eirik
