In Response To: cockpit decision (Jim Ryan)

I skipped doing the flat on my Guillemot. Mostly for more knee room when getting in and out. I'm 6'3" mostly legs. I have no problem bracing and no problem with the deck flexing. I did do 2 layer of 6oz cloth (inside) in the cockpit area. If you're concerned about how it looks, I have no complaints there either.

My Guillemot is posted on the So.Cal Kayak Builder's Page If you want to see.

Good luck and happy paddling.

Brian W.
