Edgar,

The stern deck section that is removeable mates with the hull's sheer line. A horizontal bulkhead placed below the the hull's sheer line is used to hold the control cables rotating "T". Along the centerline of this bulkhead,I drilled holes for and bonded two 3/8 bronze bolts vertically that protrude through the upper deck section just enough so bronze cap nuts can be used to hold down the deck. The cap screws need be only finger tight so no tools are needed for removal/adjustment. (Hope this helps. Trying a description, again... if not clear, I'll send a picture)
