I use float bag in the front and a bulkhead and hatch in the back, gives the clean front with out the small hatch and the rear is nice in group paddles to get stuff out of a nice big hatch. I like when you're surfing and broach or the the surfer does a bottom turn in front of you and you can see the top of the lip above his head, one less thing to worry about. We also use dry bag the back for safety.
