: Anything more comfortable on the horizon????

Well, there are alternatives out there. We have the Kokatat SuperNova semi-dry suits with the thin neoprene neck seal - it's wonderfully comfortable, but not totally dry - I'll have anything from a few spoonfuls to a cupful of water leak in if I'm horsing around in the water for a period of time. On a scale of Horrible to Fantastic, I'd rank it a solid Good. For our purposes, it does the job. Note that the SuperNova is Tropos fabric, not Goretex - doesn't breathe as well, but again, it does the job for us.

There are also a number of other neoprene neck seal systems out there now with various drysuit manufacturers, and rumor has it there are
several more in the pipeline. I also have a dive tech friend who can, she says, make and install a neoprene neck seal if needed. Check your dive buddies/local dive shop for this alternative, if the latex seal proves to be a no-go for you.
