OS Systems make paddling drysuits too and their replacement neck gaskets
come in two weights, the heavier of which I assume is for the diving drysuits
they make.

I certainly won't start by replacing the neck gasket on a new drysuit,
but buying a spare neck gasket to start with would give me one: the
option to see how the gasket will feel without dropping a grand,
and two: if I can live with the feel of the larger spare gasket I
have the option to replace the one on the drysuit, if I can't trim
it to a comfortable level.
