Thank you Chris for the explanation. A quick question for Nick or anyone else reading. In a racing boat, what is the actual importance of having the CLA near or behind the LCB? Mine is quite a bit in front (6"-10") and as I move my weight forward (to compensate for squatting while at race speed), it sinks the bow more, moving the CLA even further forward. The boat will of course have a rudder. Does that override the CLA-LCB rule of thumb?
