I've been following this thread, trying to figure out why the Center of Bouyency is so important. Is it because we hope that the Center of Bouyency will coincide with the Center of Gravity and the two forces will cancel each other with no pitching momment? And if the Center of Gravity is in front of the LCA the boat will tend to track?
