Tools: Motors for Table Saws

Hi-

I will be needing a new motor for a table saw. It's a venerable old Sears model, very heavily built, and has seen much work in it's previous life with Eric Schade. (Thanks Eric!).

I looked up some motor vendors, and have a few questions:

What rpm- 1725 or 3250?
What hp rating is good for overall cutting? 1/2. 3/4, 1 hp?
Enclosed or non-enclosed?
Shaft diameter- 5/8" standard?
Anything else I should look for?
Anyone know a good source of inexpensive yet quality motors?

Thanks!

Jack Gilman
