Shawn's right, the peak would still be too high, at least for my tastes. I built two Terns back in my novice days and the coaming is stock, as I'm painfully aware every time I roll. I have a friend though, that built two Cohos with a lowered and flat rear coaming by modifying the deck panels and adding some small pieces (before Pygmy came out with their new design). His came out really nice and a bit lower than the Pygmy's new design. Also it's far superior for the "grab the paddle against the coaming" type of float reentry.

I'm too lazy to modify my boat. I think I will just have to build a new one. :)
