Thanks everyone, Some good ideas to ponder. Nice boats John and Mitch. I am putting the final touches on my Cape Ann. My buddy is at the same stage with his Guillemot expedition. The seat is made and the backrest will be installed thursday. All that will remain then is the inside tie downs for the hatches and varnish.
I looked out my window today and the ice has broken in front of my place. Two more weeks until the boating season starts.
A little off topic. I have over the last couple of months started to photogragh most of the tools that we have used to make the kayaks. Some are from the board and other builders, some I have designed for a one purpose only, and a few come under the heading "Why didn't I think of that". I will post them next month on my wedsite. I need to take a few more pictures to add to the final group.
Regards, Erich
