: John, you state that "After I finished epoxying I washed my hands in
: alcohol, then soap and water." Please correct me if I'm wrong, but
: doesn't alcohol have the same effects as petroleum based products which
: causes greater absorbtion into the skin? My understanding is you should
: use the so called waterless hand cleaners for epoxy clean-up on skin.

Hi David,

Someone can correct if I am wrong but I believer Methanol alcohol that we used is distilled from wood and Ethanol alcohol, the kind you drink is distilled from grain. We bought it in 55 gal. drums and used it for all of our epoxy cleanup. It can make your skin flake if you leave your hands in it too long. I also used the hand cream made for epoxy protection. I just took all of the precautions I could. I was in several different patternshops and they all use alcohol to clean up with.

John
