Hey out there,
I'm having some troubles doing a good job glassing around the cockpit combing. It seems like the weave would rather sit up, away from the wood, when I'm asking it to make a 90 degree turn (from deck to combing). I spent an absurd amount of time on a relatively small piece from the underside of the deck to the combing. I was essentially waiting for the epoxy to set and poking in the little raised sections successively with a little more epoxy.
Is there an easier way!?
I'm especially concerned for going around the lip, as this is a highly visible area & it looks terrible if the glass isn't seated well.
Much thanks,
Mike
Do people love fiberglassing, or simply endure it as a necessary part of the process?
