You will need to use bias cut cloth to have any hope. This is just fiberglass cloth cut on a diagonal to make strips. It is also a great help to round out the corners slightly. For external corners this is just a little sanding. On interior corners you need to create a fillet. This can be some shmutz made with epoxy and filler like cabosil or it can be a bundle of fiberglass strands.

: Hey out there,
: I'm having some troubles doing a good job glassing around the cockpit
: combing. It seems like the weave would rather sit up, away from the wood,
: when I'm asking it to make a 90 degree turn (from deck to combing). I
: spent an absurd amount of time on a relatively small piece from the
: underside of the deck to the combing. I was essentially waiting for the
: epoxy to set and poking in the little raised sections successively with a
: little more epoxy.
: Is there an easier way!?
: I'm especially concerned for going around the lip, as this is a highly
: visible area & it looks terrible if the glass isn't seated well.

: Much thanks,
: Mike

: Do people love fiberglassing, or simply endure it as a necessary part of the
: process?
