sounds like you might be enjoying the possibilities, make sure the surface you work on doesn't have sharp edges/nails to scratch the wood, the deck/hull seam is more acute than the other edges so the reason for beveling is a bit more valid to reduce a dark line of thickened epoxy at the seam, I bet you could build the boat with beveling all around, without beveling all around, beveling only one seam, beveling every other seam, sprinking reflective glitter on an unbeveled deck/hull seam,,,ok,,if in doubt, stick with the directions. You'll have lots of opportunity to get creative.
