MEK is Methyl Ethyl Ketone

MEK is Methyl Ethyl Ketone. Most hardware stores have it with their solvents and paint thinners. It is not cheap, but you won't use a lot. It smells a lot like acetone, though you don't want to inhale it.

It is as trong solvent and will dissolve many hard plastics.

Like acetone it can be rapidly absorbed into your skin, and small amounts can get directly into your blood stream this way. it will bring with it dissolved materials, which can be permanently deposited under your skin. Wear vinyl, nitrile or latex gloves.

Like a powersaw, this is a good tool for it's intended uses, but you need to follow some reasonable safety procedures.

Hope this helps
