: Maybe we have really stiff PVC up here in Canada. Or it's the cold weather
: we're having. Bryan's situation sounds like where I was before I
: re-tightened the lacing starting from the bow and stern back to midships.
: So before you try that, Bryan, know that I ended up with worse wrinkles on
: the sides. Did you start lacing before stretching the skin along the keel?
: I think that was my mistake.

: I'm going to try space heating and look for obviously bad lacing before
: loosening it off and tightening it back up. And if that doesn't make any
: difference, I'll stop worrying about it.

Hi Sean
I didn't lace, just pulled and stapled starting at the middle and working towards bow and stern. Like you, I'll work at it some more and just live with it if I can't work out the wrinkles. What happens when you use a heat gun on this stuff?

Cold weather: -1C and windy right now, rain turning to snow, with more forecast overnight. Sounds like a lovely time for a whitewater canoe trip - I'm heading out tomorrow to run a spring runoff river/creek north of here. They keep changing the forecast but now they are forecasting 4C and sunny for tomorrow. Should be fun.

Cheers,
Bryan
