Thanks i will try that.
To enter the data into cad i would first have to learn cad...
I will do it if i have to.

I do know that i need to move my weight forward and i can try a few trial and error seat adjustments and see if i need to move my coaming forward...i need 20k winds to test though...next stormy day i'll get out there and try stuff.

I also recognize that adding 1/4 " to the petrel meant adding a lot more volume to the bow than the stern and the seat should have been moved forward then.

Yeah i want it to weathercock with skeg up..and hopefully neutral with skeg down.

On the balance board...should'nt i be in a sitting position like i would in a kayak?

: No, it's a board you put your body on, then roll back and forth until you
: find your personal center of balance. Once you find it, you measure the
: distance from the balance point to your backrest and set the boat up
: accordingly.

: A good way to test your current boat would be put a pound or two of weight
: all the way into the bow (or as far as you can reach) and paddle it. If
: that fixes the leecocking problem, you'll know that moving the seat
: slightly will have the same effect. One thing to keep in mind is that you
: may only need to move the backrest forward a couple of inches, you may not
: need to modify the coaming.

: Since your boat has a skeg, you should set it up so that it weathercocks
: slightly (as you planned to do), otherwise the skeg is useless.
