Not a bad idea for now. I'm planning on going through with lengthening the coaming, turning the front compartment into a limited fish box since i will be able to reach the hatch.., using the extra space behind me for cold storage and a place to sit up on.
I'm going to morph the boat into a sea worthy fishing kayak complete with streamlined self expanding/collapsing sponsons attached to the sides. the sponsons will be the hard part.
