Thanks Doug! The peruvian walnut is also called nogal and I asked Rod to order it in for me. I'm pretty sure he got it from A&M Wood in Ontario.

Joe Greenley at Redfish uses it a lot and having looked at a bunch of his boats I just loved it. It's definitely darker than the American variety. It's wonderful, but boy is it not forgiving on fiberglassing mistakes! And this being my first time round I had my share. I'm going with the philosophy that only I will pick them all out!
