holy moly Larry, you've got some needs. I only paddled it once in flat water with a good breeze. Pretty sure the Penquino made it down to Stinson or some parts south for a surf event. Check with Lockwood/Pygmy for more useful feedback than what I can give. It's a more maneuverable boat than a Manitou so I think it could be fun in rough stuff.
