Epoxy: Stripping Paint

I have a ten year old Explorer, found a hole in the bottom, then got a little sidetracked. The previous owner decided to paint it blue so since I was working on the bottom, naturally i decided to see what the original color was. I sanded off about a quarter size section, wetted it, and revealed a pretty ruby red.

So now i have 95% of the paint removed and have a delirium, what to do about the areas around the coaming and hatch covers. I am guessing elbo or finger grease to get the nooks and crannies because I am thinking I should avoid going chemical. I should avoid going chemical, right? Maybe one of those sanding sponges.....

BTW, I bought a multi-tool at Harbor Freight for 39.00 and it works like a champ.

If you can type, you can make kayak movies
