Is there any way to determine how large "larger" would be without hiring an engineer? And what might he say when told that those "larger" pieces had to be cut and somehow bolted back together to create a boat that could sail on an ocean?
If George Dyson's big aluminum SOFs could have been built in sections why didn't he? Sure would have made storage easier. As I recall he had one hell of a time building what he did.
