I think a picture would be most helpful. While from a length wise perspective there appears to an arching upwards of both the chine and gunwale, this is due to the angle of the cross sections relative to the center line. As both the chine and gunwale are positioned on the outside of the cross sections parallel to each other, they should remain equally distant from bow to stern. As for the rocker, since there is only .01 of a foot offset between stations 1 and 2, the rocker would only be about an 1/8 of an inch? Sorry I'm from a metric generation.

I would wonder about warping, a mis-conversion of the decimal feet or forcing either the gunwales or chine out of profile at the bow or stern plates.

: HI There,

: I'm building Tom Yost's Sea Flea with and for my son. At the
: weekend we setup the frames on a strongback and wrapped the
: stringers around. I had a couple of goes to get everything
: looking fair, but when I took the temporarily screwed and lashed
: frame of the stongback I had some major springback of the keel.
: Basically the resulting frame has no rocker which leaves the
: gunwales with a bit of a kink. The chine stringers seemed to
: have the hardest bend in them, and I think they are
: 'overpowering' the lesser bend in the keel and gunwales.

: Does it sound like I've done something obviously wrong? Does
: anybody have any tips on how I can rescue the build?

: Regards,
: Andy.
