If you do a seal coat be careful about blush. You have a time window to do the glassing for a chemical bond. If you wait too long you have to scrub the surface with water and scotch bright pad or sand. If you pull your finger over a glossy area and see a trail, that's blush.

Your milk jug spreaders are fine for epoxy but be careful with glass. Any little rough spot can pull the weave of the glass fabric. You can buy nice smooth spreaders in Wallmart auto dept. cheap.
