There's a really big difference using graphite or the white stuff mixed in with silica and mixed with epoxy applied to the bottom of the boat and "any" coating which will just wear off. It's nearly impossible to wear thru the graphite, I've tried over a period of several years. It's not sanded once applied, so that's not really an issue (awfully messy to sand graphite anyway).

A couple of builders here experimented with the white stuff and had decent results from what I understand.
