Maybe, but I'm still not getting anything.

Try going to Search/Personalize Display and display only those messages posted within the last two days, or some value less than what your browser's history function is set to - the default of which is typically fourteen days. If you keep up to date with _all_ posts (as I do), you'll only see new messages, and you will never see messages that have expired from your browser's history file, ie. they appear to be unvisted/NEW. This way, a very old message can be responded to, and you will see it and the post that it prompted. The new message will be marked with a "NEW:" tag, and the old message will most likely be highlighted again. Basically, this method will let you see all "NEW" messages just by looking for highlighted text, ie. they jump off the screen at you. It also speeds up download times - typically only about fifty to one hundred ten messages are retrieved.

Try experimenting with the settings, you'll eventually come up with something that suits you. IMO, this is the most user friendly board that I've _ever_ encountered. I'm sure many of you would agree.

BTW, on Bear Mountain's and Newfound Woodworks' boards, they don't allow you to customize the display. :-( To find recent messages, do a search for the date that you wish to see messages for. For example, to find all messages posted today (June 26th), search for the following text: 6/26. This makes things much easier if you're trying to keep up to date with all posts. One can be in and out of a board in under a minute if there are no new posts to view.
