I would suggest a shorter boat for what you want to do. Your shape would probably work well, but since you seem to want a manuverable boat, why not go for it and make it short as well. I don't see the length you now have as giving you much advantage.

The compound curve does not look too severe, but since it is not very noticable, why don't you just make the deck basically conical at each end. It would be easier to make.
