I wrote a whole paragraph agreeing with your answer. . .
But then I thought: The CofB and the CofG coincide when viewed in a waterline section, but they don't when viewed in a centerline section or a cross section. The difference is what stability is all about. So I hesitate to say they are the same thing, although in certain views they have the same coordinates.
