: OK, did a search and did a lot of reading of past posts last night. Looks
: like another controversial area here. I seem to be stirring the pot with
: my questions but that is not the intent. But here goes.
After reading the threads here I think my "Reverse hybrid kayak" should work? or did I miss something?? In fact according to some threads it is overkill???
I bought a set of Auk 14 plans. I am thinking of making a "Reverse Hybrid". Hull of 3/16 inch cedar strips and 1/8 inch 3-ply plywood "doorskin" deck. I am 6 foot and 200 # so reinforcing the cockpit and hatch area is a must. I am thinking to double the doorskin in these areas. Also plan to glass hull & deck both sides using 4 oz. cloth.
PS How goes your boat project Kudzu?
